'Accenture, EDS bid for RCoM deal'

Accenture and EDS have bid for a USD 500 million information technology outsourcing contract from India's Reliance Communications Ltd, a source close to the development said on Tuesday.
The contract is likely to be finalised by month-end, he said.
A spokesman at Reliance said the company was constantly evaluating proposals.
A newspaper said IBM, Hewlett-Packard and a unit of Deutsche Telekom had also bid for the 10-year contract.
The contract would include billing, customer care and data management, and would be announced in two-three weeks, another daily said.
Reliance Communications, India's No 2 mobile operator, said last month it planned to spend nearly USD 4 billion in the fiscal year to March 2008 on network expansion and spin off its business processing outsourcing unit.
It also sold 5 per cent in its tower business to seven institutional investors for USD 6.75 billion
